As our Lead AI with a focus on Technology and GenAI, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of our technology tools, implementation and governance. You'll build and lead a high-performing AI team, develop a strategic AI roadmap aligned with business goals, and drive the adoption of responsible AI solutions in collaboration with the business, legal, and privacy teams.

Be the first team member and build a plan and business case to build out a and manage a team of AI engineers, data scientists, and researchers, fostering a culture of excellence in AI development and deployment.

Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in AI research and development, particularly Generative AI (GenAI) applications.

Design, develop, and deploy cutting-edge AI models for various applications in the financial sector, prioritizing responsible use and ethical considerations.

Oversee the data pipeline for AI projects, ensuring data quality, security, and compliance with industry regulations.

Partner with the business unit to identify and prioritize high-impact AI use cases that align with strategic goals.

Develop and implement a comprehensive AI governance framework that ensures responsible development, deployment, and use of AI solutions within the financial services context.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., legal, compliance, risk management) to define and implement ethical AI practices and mitigate potential risks.

Monitor and evaluate the performance of AI models, making necessary adjustments to optimize results and ensure adherence to ethical and regulatory guidelines.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience leading and managing AI teams, with a proven track record of successfully developing and deploying AI solutions in production environments.
  • Deep understanding of machine learning algorithms, deep learning techniques, natural language processing (NLP), and Generative AI models (e.g., GANs, VAEs).
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) for deploying AI models.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements in the financial services industry as they pertain to AI.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear and concise language for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and inspire a team.

Ideal:

  • Experience in the financial services industry.
  • Experience with building and managing data pipelines for AI projects, with a focus on data security and privacy.
  • Strong understanding of risk management frameworks and their application to AI development.
  • Experience contributing to the development of industry standards and best practices for responsible AI.
