POSITION SUMMARY:

Improve systems & equipment reliability in assigned process area, reduce system/equipment downtime associated with assigned process & support operations via mentoring.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on various equipment utilized in a GMP environment
  • Maintain written documentation of maintenance and repairs in accordance with Quality System requirements
  • Ability to ascend and descend a ladder. Occasionally work at heights.
  • Maintain inventory of MRO parts...utilizing MRP system
  • Self-starter that takes initiative to communicate and correct issues
  • Coordinate with outside vendors for repair/maintenance/installation of equipment
  • Interface with operations and engineering groups to implement projects
  • Demonstrates a desire to continuously improve and learn new skill
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Ability to read/write and comprehend English

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • HS Diploma or equivalent

Experience

  • 2-3 years of experience performing general maintenance in a pharmaceutical / industrial environment.
  • Proficient in the use of hand tools associated with the trade
  • Knowledgeable in the following systems: Mechanical, Electro-Mechanical, Electrical, and Instrumentation, and the controls of such systems.
  • Knowledge & application of various troubleshooting strategies
  • Knowledgeable in the use and function of various diagnostic equipment such as digital multimeters, amp meters, gauges, and sensors
  • Ability & experience with automated records systems such as SAP, schematics, wiring diagrams & other technical documents
  • Organization/Planning, support, and coordination of planned & corrective maintenance activities to ensure successful process performance
  • Demonstrates a disciplined approach to problem solving that is based on data & facts which is consistent with vision, business goals, and values
  • Previous experience in a Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) work environment
  • Understands who the customer is (internal/external) and understands the customers' requirements, prioritizes work & develops processes to support the customer's needs
  • Ability to quickly flex to changes in responsibilities & business needs with grace and ease
  • Demonstrates behaviors consistent with "for me to win the team must win"
  • Demonstrates a disciplined approach to problem solving that is based on data and facts
  • Owns the results of individual actions and team's activities.
  • Understands application of LOTO
  • Possess a valid GA Driver's License and have own vehicle for travel between office locations
  • Able to leap tall buildings in a single bound...

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Ability to lift 20 - 50 lbs regularly, climb stairs and ladders, and work indoors or outdoors in hot or cold temperatures.

Ability to work a flexible schedule (including nights and weekends); may be required to work 1st or 2nd shifts.

Ability to work occasionally in high stress situations with general supervision.

Demonstrated safety record while working in and around energized facilities and manufacturing equipment.

Occasionally work in hot or cold environment.
