Summary of This Role

The Technical Resiliency (TR) Specialist will work with and assist the function of Enterprise Risk Management in executing the Business Resiliency Governance (BRG) Program. The TR Specialist will carry out and execute the review of technology resiliency (design architecture) changes (new/existing) to ensure compliance with Technical Resiliency Standard. Minimum 5 years' experience of Disaster Recovery and/or Technology Resilience focused on the Recovery of Technology.

What Part Will You Play?

  • Perform end-to-end mapping of service processes and identify Single Point of Failure (critical thinking).
  • Lead the review of technology resiliency (design architecture) changes (new/existing) to ensure compliance with Technical Resiliency Standard and delivered results to Senior Management.
  • Must have advanced skills and knowledge in best practices for disaster recovery and high availability environments.
  • Make project recommendations of critical importance within established guidelines.
  • Create and deliver scenario-based exercises and oversee technology exercises to ensure every aspect of resiliency and disaster recovery capabilities are suitable and identify any potential gaps/issues.
  • Responsible for identification of risks, tracking of remediation through closure, and escalating issues as needed.

What Are We Looking For in This Role?

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree Major in Information Systems, Information Technology, Bachelor of Science; other majors considered; willing to accept additional experience in lieu of degree.
  • Minimum 5 years' relevant experience.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification(s) from a leading cloud service provider (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • DRII or BCI Certification

What Are Our Desired Skills and Capabilities?

Technology - Technical knowledge of:

  • Disaster Recovery and High Availability design builds for Physical, Virtual and Cloud Environments.
  • Interpreting technology architecture diagrams.
  • Recovery Point Objective (RPO), Recovery Time Objectives (RTO), and Recovery Time Capability (RTC).

Skills / Knowledge:

  • Use professional concepts and apply company policies and procedures to resolve routine issues. This job is a fully qualified, career-oriented position.

Job Complexity:

  • Work on problems of limited scope; follows standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data from which answers can be readily obtained; build stable working relationships internally.
  • Detail oriented, analytical and critical thinking skills as well as able to multi-task to meet deadlines.

Tools - Knowledge of:

  • Google Suite/Workspace and Archer GRC tool, able to tailor communication to all level of organizational hierarchy, able to create deliverables in a deck format, and has good writing skills.
  • Supervision - Normally receives general instruction on day-to-day work, detailed instructions on new assignments.

Skilled - problem solving:

  • Creativity in resolving unique and challenging business problems; good business judgment.
