The Field Marketing Manager is responsible for the end-to-end development and execution of comprehensive marketing plans focused on high-quality lead generation for Account-Based Marketing initiatives to support Descartes' organizational, solution area and revenue generation objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Strategize, build and execute integrated marketing and communication initiatives for campaigns, advertising and event promotions focused on quality lead generation, positioning Descartes as a thought leader, and continuing to build a strong brand.
  • Manage the content development, design and execution of sales enablement collateral including email marketing, sales presentations, brochures/one-pagers, landing pages, white papers/eBooks, social media, web seminars, events, calendars, reporting and other deliverables required for demand-generation initiatives.
  • Develop creative messaging that aligns with digital marketing programs and solution value proposition(s) to generate interest and demand.
  • Work closely with the Product Management and Sales teams to gather competitive and customer research to support the marketing plans for new and existing solutions that impact priority target markets.
  • Understand marketing data management and segmentation. Identify target markets, research business intelligence and build contact lists for marketing/sales campaigns via internal and external data sources.
  • Assess and measure all marketing concepts and campaigns to gauge success and define best practices.
  • Ensure consistent branding and messaging across marketing channels.
  • Plan and track solution area initiative finances to ensure delivery of products and services as per quality and timeline expectations.
  • Develop and maintain a current understanding of industry trends, business challenges, topical issues through research and engagement with industry resources including associations, publications, etc. Work with these external media channels to promote campaigns including advertising, email blasts, banners, etc.
  • Analyze and report on key campaign metrics on a weekly and quarterly basis for internal stakeholders.
  • Support annual user conference as an active Marketing execution team member.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in marketing, Business, Communications or a technical discipline with subsequent MBA or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of three to five years of experience in business-to-business marketing with demonstrable success in positioning and promoting enterprise software solutions and services across a variety of vertical markets.
  • Demonstrates in-depth solution and industry knowledge and can apply broad-based understanding of key business fundamentals and marketing tactics.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to present ideas in such a manner that others understand and enables them to share ideas for the benefit of others.
  • Deep understanding of the software industry (preferably supply chain and/or enterprise planning solutions) along with verticals including manufacturing, retail, wholesale distribution, and transportation.
  • Comfortable with the entrepreneurial culture of a fast-growing organization in an ever-changing industry.
  • Proactive, strong attention to detail and good organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects at a time.
  • Creative, energetic, enthusiastic with a positive attitude.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to work effectively, knowledgeably, and collaboratively with a wide range of internal teams.
  • Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and campaign management tools such as Microsoft Dynamics, Active Campaig and Click Dimensions.
  • Graphic and web design experience with Adobe Creative Suite a plus.

Salary Range: $80,000 to 90,000 CAD "Compensation information provided is a good faith estimate for this position only. Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills as well as the years of experience you have. Similar positions located in different geographic regions will not necessarily receive the same compensation."
