The Transfer and Transition Center performs advanced level academic advisement functions such as facilitating transfer articulation, onboarding advisement, interpretation and implementation of university policies and procedures, including transfer course review for degree audit adjustments.

HERE IS WHAT YOU WILL DO
* Transfer articulation for all incoming students is the majority of the daily work routine
* Evaluates and advises on academic programs and progress of transfer students.
* Performs admissions and recruitment functions for the unit.
* Coordinates and communicates with faculty on academic program changes or updates.
* Assesses college's compliance with Board of Regents degree requirements.
* Provides and/or oversees graduation checkouts and audits management for reverse transfer.
* Maintains and updates current student records on information system.
* Teach or co-teach GSU 1010 classes.
* Liaison responsibilities to a specific college or academic unit. Represent academic advising units on college and University committees.
* Assist in the development and implementation of college and University training for advisement personnel.
* Has a role in assisting with data collection and reporting (Argos, iPort)
* Serve as lead worker for program(s) that require coordination -transfer articulation for orientation, EAB Transfer Portal, degree works adjustments, banner testing, etc.
* May assist in reviewing student transfer petitions.
* May handle course authorizations for students.
* May conduct informational sessions for an academic department.

Minimum Hiring Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and either 1) 6 months experience as "Academic Advisor II" at GSU (University Advisement Center or other GSU advising department) or 2) five years of related experience; or a combination of education and related experience.
