Daikin Applied is now hiring for an Engineering Co-op in Marietta, GA!

Timeline: This Internship opportunity is for Fall 2024 and 2 additional semesters.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for overall customer satisfaction by ensuring what was sold is communicated and fulfilled
  • Serves as the liaison between the customer, sales team, and Daikin factories
  • Visit job sites with Field Sales Engineers and Daikin Technicians to inspect Daikin HVAC equipment
  • Assist Field Sales Engineers with HVAC equipment selection that will be used in the design process
  • Determine project timelines, ship dates, and project costs
  • Troubleshoot customer requests and changes to the initial project scope of work
  • Assist the sales team with technical expertise in the selection/application of standard or modified products
  • Create professional sales proposals and submittals from RFP/RFI from clients for Daikin Applied
  • Provide prompt, accurate responses to sales inquiries regarding special applications, systems, or pricing (Daikin Tools Quotations)

Qualifications:

Requirements:

  • Undergraduate student (completed sophomore level or higher)
  • Successful record in academics and a diverse range of extracurricular activities
  • Ability to work a minimum of 40 hours per week for the duration of the internship
  • Demonstrates proficiency in the MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
  • Legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship

Preferred:

  • Prior Engineering internship experience
  • Experience with Solidworks or related CAD software
  • Successfully completed Thermo-dynamics I, and Fluid Mechanics for Mechanical Engineering majors or similar coursework for Electrical or Aerospace Engineering majors
