WHAT YOU'LL DO
Reporting to the NAMR Alumni Relations Director with strong teaming into regional marketing and alumni. This role will drive the growth of our alumni initiatives by designing a best-in-class, multi-touch alumni engagement experience. This individual will manage, maintain, and implement a variety of projects and programs to support BCG's alumni objectives and improve the position of BCG's brand in the Southeast and Southwest systems. This individual will lead efforts to monitor, measure, and analyze the South's alumni engagement and will be responsible for the management and execution of South high priority alumni initiatives. They will work directly with key stakeholders to ensure the integrity of meaningful, ongoing engagement through year-long cultivation, strategic and personalized communications, customized events, in addition to providing guidance and direction to local office alumni teams across the Southeast and Southwest markets.
YOU'RE GOOD AT
  • Develop and implement comprehensive alumni engagement strategy that fosters and promotes effective alumni relations through personalized programming and connections with current and former BCGers

  • Independently manage new and ongoing strategic projects to engage BCG alumni - from creating project plans and timelines, to managing resources and stakeholders, to executing programs and measuring their impact

  • Maintain and build upon regional segmentation strategy to ensure personalized and prioritized approach for Southeast and Southwest high priority alumni - including research, planning, outreach, data management, and local office collaboration

  • Develop alumni KPI measurement processes campaigns through data analysis and reporting, leveraging analytical and data story-telling capabilities

  • Collaborate with local office alumni teams and events team to develop and execute high priority alumni events

  • Create high-quality presentations, communications, and enablement materials for a variety of internal and external audiences, autonomously

  • Provide enablement to BCG leadership to connect with alumni easily and frequently

  • Manage the sanctity of alumni data and arm local partners with most current information

  • Work collaboratively with other internal BCG functional departments and practices to ensure the integrity of the alumni engagement process and ensure proper hand offs and follow up

  • Act as part of regional alumni team to leverage experience and share best practices

  • Perform other duties as requested - up for anything

Communication

  • Develop, improve, and support alumni communication channels

  • Maintain and enhance information on our alumni, their skills and their interests to facilitate more substantive interaction and dialogue with BCG

  • Meet frequently with partners and other members of leadership to enable and record the alumni experience

  • Collaborate with the Career & Executive Services team to ensure that alumni are aware of opportunities to both find jobs and hire alumni and transitioning staff

  • Increase A2A interaction via improved online functionalities and social media's presence

  • Manage and implement varied channel communications campaigns

Data Management, Analysis and Technology

  • Leverage Excel and other quantitative tools to execute accurate analyses

  • Communicate the implications of the analysis to team leadership clearly

  • Manage the Southeast and Southwest alumni database; keep records up to date by including new alumni and updated alumni contact information

  • Leverage Salesforce, Marketo, and other technology for alumni database management, marketing campaigns and event management

  • Prepare clear, compelling presentation materials for a variety of stakeholders

  • Work closely with HR, Career & Executive Services, Client Team, as well as regional and global alumni teams, to ensure integration as needed


YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)
  • Bachelor's degree with demonstrated high academic achievement

  • 5+ years relevant experience in a development, alumni, fundraising or program management-based role

  • Demonstrated leadership / organizational / communication skills

  • Highly proactive and "get things done" approach

  • Strong work ethic, service-mentality and able to work autonomously

  • Ability to multi-task and operate effectively in a matrix organization

  • Confident written and verbal communication, including strong PowerPoint skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong interpersonal skills, gravitas

  • Collaborative team player attitude

  • Excellent written, verbal communication skills

  • Strong relationship builder, collaborative work style and highly effective within an autonomous, decentralized environment

  • Hard working and flexible

  • Proven abilities in project management, planning and coordination

  • Highly detail-oriented, organized and accurate

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and to juggle and make progress on multiple priorities simultaneously

  • Experience with online communication tools and social media

  • Experience organizing events is a plus

  • Experience with CRM systems


YOU'LL WORK WITH
BCG's marketing team drives the firm's reputation as a thought leader. We work to strengthen and protect BCG's brand, advance our business agenda, and partner with management to engage with our key audiences through tools such as global thought-leadership publications, public relations, alumni outreach, recruitment marketing, and social media.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
This role currently requires 3 days a week in office presence. This provides flexibility for the remaining 40% of the work week. This hybrid work plan allows for critically important learning, collaboration and networking with our colleagues. Specific days in the office are agreed upon by the team.
