Job Summary

Support Project Directors/Principal Investigators and other stakeholders to ensure security and accountability of sponsored inventory through transaction documentation process, routine verification, and system review. Tags sponsored property and records assets in sponsored property inventory application. Compile and document all transactions for data entry. Conduct annual physical inventories on sponsored assets to ensure quality and accuracy.

This position will interact consistently with: Project Directors/Principal Investigators, GT/GTRI Property team, GTRI Accounting, and GTRI Finance & Research Administration. This position typically will advise and counsel: Project Directors/Principal Investigators, GT/GTRI Property team, GTRI Accounting, Office of Sponsored Programs, and GTRI Finance & Research Administration.

Responsibilities

Job Duty 1 -
Ensure security and accountability of inventory through transaction documentation process and routine verification and system review of sponsored property

Job Duty 2 -
Compiles and documents all transactions for data entry

Job Duty 3 -
Coordinate with Program Directors/Principal Investigators, to identify and record, and tag sponsored assets

Job Duty 4 -
Assist in the preparation of annual inventories, as required for all sponsored property governance, to ensure compliance

Job Duty 5 -
Interface with Project Directors/Principal Investigators on proper receipt and disbursement of government-furnished equipment, deliverable equipment, IUID tagging of deliverable, or Government Furnished Equipment (GFE)

Job Duty 6 -
Ensure all requirements are met, in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations and 2 CFR 200

Job Duty 7 -
Interface with OSP Contract Closeout and Office of Naval Research (ONR) on the proper disposition of sponsored assets

Job Duty 8 -
Government requested reports on sponsored assets

Job Duty 9 -
Perform other related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business, Finance or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience

Required Experience
Four to five years of job-related experience

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Experience
Seven or more years of job-related experience

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

KNOWLEDGE
Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 31.2; 2 CFR 200, full Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) including disclosure Statements; Federal rate structure and rates, Federal Truth in Negotiations Act, (TINA); all State of Georgia (DOAS), Board of Regents (BOR), GTRI and GT Policies for Sponsored Projects and other subjects.
Property asset and/or inventory experience. Use of office and finance/accounting-related computer applications and systems is required

Knowledge of:

oDefense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) property regulations
oProperty reporting and maintenance under Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and 2CFR 200
oSponsored Property accounting, reporting, and disposal.

Anticipated salary rate $46,704 - $80,331 commensurate with qualifications.
