As a member of the M&A Change Management & Experience (CMX) team, this role will lead and/or handle fit-for-purpose change management programs for select acquisitions that thoughtfully support our acquired businesses through change to accelerate their connection, productivity, and performance at Salesforce. Additionally, the role will contribute to the advancement of Salesforce's M&A best-in-class change management capability for integration programs through continuous improvement and innovation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage the change management workstream and coordinate across a large team of partners (M&A functions, partner organizations, acquired teams) to drive change management planning including establishing roles and responsibilities, leading workstream meetings, documenting decisions & driving actions, and status reporting.

  • In partnership with Employee Success (HR), to conduct discovery of an acquired company's culture in comparison with Salesforce's and expected change impacts to inform integration and change management approach

  • In partnership with Employee Success (HR), assess, onboard, connect, and drive accountability and sponsorship of acquired leaders through tailored leadership programs

  • In partnership with functional M&A partners, deliver tailored and thoughtful onboarding, enablement and communications to support accelerated connection, productivity, and performance at Salesforce. Includes shaping and executing communications and onboarding programs and events to introduce essential processes and tools and drive cultural acclimation.

  • Deliver cross-functional support & stabilization programs (e.g. hypercare) with empathy and agility to guide our business stakeholders through integration milestones and sustain productivity

  • Establish and manage feedback mechanisms to monitor sentiment, feedback, and change adoption from acquired employees through surveys, adoption metrics, and/or change networks

  • Refine engagement models with other Salesforce partner organizations to activate and accelerate deep change ownership in the stakeholders most influential to the acquired employee's experience.

  • Contribute to technology innovations that improve operational efficiency, scale, and delivery excellence and showcase our commitment to be Customer Zero for Salesforce products

  • Build repeatable approaches, tools, and templates to accelerate change management activities


SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Loves people & culture: Knack and passion for tuning into unique cultures, needs, and sentiments of impacted stakeholders. Skilled in active listening and cultivating meaningful feedback loops via surveys, focus groups, and 1:1 interactions. Listens with compassion and turns insights into action.

  • Navigates change and ambiguity: Demonstrates resilience by guiding others in adapting to unknowns, challenges, limitations, and setbacks. Effectively frames, recognizes, and evaluates underlying assumptions and potential changes, assessing their effects on tasks, the team, and oneself, even when information is incomplete or unclear.

  • Skilled project manager: Experience in estimation, planning, design, and implementation of complex, cross-functional business efforts at software companies. Effective in influencing and making high-quality decisions and taking crucial action. Ability to work well under deadlines, juggle multiple priorities and work productively in the face of ambiguity or uncertainty. Strong meeting leadership and facilitation skills.

  • M&A Experience: Understanding of the acquisition lifecycle, integration planning and execution, and strategic considerations.

  • Collaborative influencer: Able to establish and build close working relationships. Strong personal credibility and counseling skills. Team player that skilled at working collaboratively with and through others.

  • Executive communication & writing skills: Tunes into unique needs of the audience to adjust tone and messaging for resonance. Equally adept at building and presenting compelling presentations for executives as writing detailed materials for employees. Able to distill complex data and details to extract and articulate insights and translate them into audience appropriate messages. Strong editing skills.

  • Flexible and adaptable: Able to work in ambiguous M&A environment. Self-starter and high degree of motivation to go above and beyond the task at hand. Exercises flexibility in work approach to address evolving needs of stakeholders.


Required Experience:

  • 7-10 years of experience in change management, management consulting, M&A integration management, leadership development, communications, HR, or corporate development

  • Proficiency in change management principles, methodologies, tools and innovative, and best practices

  • Proven track record of managing enterprise-wide, transformational, and multidisciplinary change initiatives

  • Strong understanding of M&A including acquisition lifecycle, integration planning, and strategic considerations.

  • Strong communication skills (both written communications & presentation skills)

  • Strong Google Suite & slide skills

  • Ability to quickly ramp on collaboration technologies (Smartsheets, Quip, Slack)

  • SaaS business model and Salesforce organization and/or product knowledge are a plus.

For New York-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $132,800 to $225,500.For California-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $132,800 to $225,500.

Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles may be eligible for incentive compensation, equity, benefits.
