Job Description
OVERVIEW

Merrick & Company is seeking career and quality minded individuals for challenging projects including all types of Boundary, GPS, Photogrammetry, Easement/Right of Way, ALTAs, Topographic and As-Built Surveys. Qualified candidates will be responsible for performing survey related research, performing survey calculations, and creating final survey deliverables. Successful candidate will work under direct supervision of a Land Surveyor. This is a full time position based out of our Greenwood Village (Denver metro), CO office. Approximate start date of May/June.

Typical annual pay range for this position is $23 - $24 per hour. Pay offered may vary depending on job related knowledge, skills, and experience.

General Responsibilities

  • Collaborating with other disciplines.
  • Follow schedules and budget commitments.
  • Work independently.
  • Possesses good written and oral communications skills.
  • Ability to problem solve.
  • Preparation of legal description and exhibits.
  • Drafting monumented land survey plats.
  • Drafting topographical and contour maps.
  • Working with HDS point clouds.
  • Assisting with field assignments, as needed.

Requirements

  • Must be proficient in utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Ability to do survey related research is desired.
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Associates or Technical Two year degree preferred.
  • Local candidates only.
  • Must meet expectations for attendance and punctuality.
  • Must have a valid driver's license, a good driving record, and be insurable under Merrick's insurance carrier.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Physical Requirements

  • Requires the ability to sit for extended periods at a computer workstation.
  • Be able to work in an environment with open discussions and visitors without getting distracted.
  • May be required to lift up to 60 lbs.
