Position Overview - Business Development Engineer, Global Account

Molex is seeking a Business Development Engineer responsible for a strategic Global Account. This role is primarily responsible for supporting the front-end sales team execute on strategic initiatives. The key value drivers in this role are conducting business analytics, market research, and identifying opportunities for account growth, both with the local team in California as well as overseas stakeholders (Japan, China, etc).

The position is based in the Bay Area of California, requiring travel to Molex's office in Fremont, CA and to the customer. There may be additional opportunities for travel, depending on the business need.

What You Will Do In Your Role

* Become a subject matter expert on Molex capabilities and product portfolio

* Build strong business relationships with key internal functions and customer stakeholders

* Collaborate with Molex division, Business Units, and Product Management teams to align and support strategic account initiatives

* Conduct market research and product teardowns to identify value-add opportunities for Molex

* Utilize Excel PowerPivot, Salesforce, PowerPoint, and a variety of other tools to report market insights and business performance

The Experience You Will Bring

Requirements:

* A Bachelor's degree in business or a technical discipline

What Will Put You Ahead:

* Prior experience in the electronics industry

* Familiarity with consumer product design process / sales cycle
