Position Objective:

This position is 100% responsible for all activities on a customer site, including direct liaison with the client, all physical work activity, remediation of dirty filters (safe handling in high purity environments including clean rooms) and transportation of highly specialized filters; as well as the welfare, health and safety of level I tech personnel on jobsite and overall environmental responsibility.


This position must communicate weekly with customer before and after job performance, to understand any access limitations while onsite (critical care, loading dock schedules, and in hospitals- all HIPPA class areas that are considered patient confidential areas)


This position represents AAF and the individual's conduct must be to the highest standards, including wearing proper AAF logo clothing at all times.


This role will also provide support to the Boston branch sales and service team for all aspects of the bidding process from quotation through completion of the purchase contract in helping defining labor requirements needed and the issues at site related to confined spaces or difficult AHU access areas. Assisting in site surveys as needed


The role of Senior Service technician will also actively manage sub-contract labor/temps to ensure timely execution of the installation and removal project and ensure all site safety procedures are adhered to.


Key Accountabilities:

1) Pre bid activities

* Site walk- survey of customer location, AHU Mapping and site layout from site key personnel, citing any restricted areas, special clearance requirements etc.

* Preparation of technical documentation to support bidding activities, tables, charts as needed

* Site surveys to document client requirements and dimensional checks of existing equipment

o Including: air handling units, ductwork, hatch access, rooftop hazards

* Preparation of labor hour estimates and equipment requirements, and PPE needed

* Analyses and proposes changes in process or use of labor which could result in cost reduction or more efficient operation

2) Post order activities

* Coordinates with branch photos and trip reports, emails to customer any notes or recommendations for jobsite enhancements needed

* Responsible for the complete site management of relative AAF contracted site

* Responsible for Environmental, Health and Safety conditions on site as it relates to AAF activity

* Production of and subsequent execution of project related documents examples of which include

o Risk assessment and method statements

o EH&S programs

o Site Programs / schedules

o Loading plans/trash removal requirements

o Site traffic management plans

* Responsible for actively managing sub-contract/temp labor to ensure timely execution of site work and that all site safety procedures are adhered to

* Responsible for technically and commercially controlling multiple project activities simultaneously, working to tight time deadlines and operates efficiently under pressure

* Ensures company standard procedures are followed in connection with provision of material or services

* Leads meetings or direct communications with customer to assist in resolution of problems or complaints

* Report and escalate to management risks as needed

3) Additional duties as assigned

4) Maintains a teamwork philosophy with other departments to facilitate problem solving and good customer service



Requirements

Position Requirements:

  1. Experience in technical industry desired; High purity air filtration preferred;
  2. 5-7 years' working in site installation experience essential;
  3. Industrial and commercial air handling and filtration experience;
  4. Proven management experience leading team of temp labor performing critical service in data centers, universities and hospitals;
  5. Proven understanding of the intricacies of customer requirements in performing service in high purity environments and what is expected to keep customer and employee safe;
  6. Working knowledge of safety and environmental practices and regulations including OSHA compliance and a proven record of improving safety results;
  7. Demonstrated leadership, influence and communication skills;
  8. Must have strong interpersonal skills, maturity and good judgment and be capable of communicating with a diverse range of individuals;
  9. Excellent, proven interpersonal, verbal / written communications and organizational skills;
  10. Demonstrated ability to multi - task and work in a fast - paced setting;
  11. Proficiency with office computer equipment and software. (email, word, excel, autocad);
  12. Budgeting/estimating labor experience;
  13. Shipping/receiving/logistics of freight management;
  14. HVAC PM scheduling;
  15. Coil Cleaning;
  16. HEPA/high purity filtration experience including fan powered and no fan terminal box installation and filtration installation.
Salary Description
$23.50 - $26.00/hr
