Acara Solutions is seeking highly qualified candidates to work Onsite with our client in Hauppauge, NY. Interested?

Here's what you'd do:

  • Responsible for the design, development, and implementation of standards, methods, and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision and accuracy of company products in compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.
  • Performs analysis on reported nonconformities and discrepancies related to assembly for improvement, process, mechanical, electrical, electro-mechanical systems, field, and clinical data.
  • Further investigate the cause for discrepancies and nonconformities to develop disposition and recommend corrective action plans.
  • Additional duties typically include, developing and implementing quality control procedures and providing guidance and training to junior engineers.
  • Serves as the primary interface to customers and suppliers for quality-related matters.
  • Conducts program quality cost account management and manages supplier corrective actions.
  • Interfaces with manufacturing, engineering, customer, vendor, and subcontractor representatives to ensure requirements are met.
  • Leads material review board.
  • Ensure compliance with company and customer requirements.
  • Lead MRB for the review and disposition of nonconforming products.
  • Identify RCCA for nonconformances and customer complaints.
  • Perform AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports.
  • Usage of OGP, caliper, drop gage, comparator, XRF, and similar tools.
  • Analyze Quality data and interface with Production and Engineering to identify and implement product and process improvements.
  • Led cross-functional teams to resolve complex quality issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Collaborating with suppliers to establish quality requirements, conduct supplier assessments, and ensure adherence to contractual obligations and industry standards.
  • Other projects assigned by your manager.

Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum of 6 years experience working in an AS9100 environment.
  • Minimum of 6 years experience with AS9102 First Article Inspections.

Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
  • Master's Degree
  • Working knowledge of microelectronics and waveguide products.
  • Working knowledge of mechanical blueprints & tolerances.
  • Good technical expertise in aerospace engineering principles, attention to detail, and excellent problem-solving skills are essential for this role.
  • Good knowledge of job area and broad knowledge of project management.
  • Familiar with industry standards such as Mil Specs 883, IPC-A-610
