Acara Solutions has an opening for a Product Introduction Technician for Alstom Transportation in LAX.

Key accountabilities:
- Implement field modifications according to the modification instruction (including tests, if required)
- Ensure use of valid/calibrated tools
- Populate relevant modification follow-up data base and report relevant information to Field.
- Modification Coordinator-Leader & PI Customer Site Manager.
- Ensure information flow within the field modification team (e.g. shift handover)
- Perform quality self-inspection.
- Respect EHS rules (Environment Health & Safety rules) and any work-related processes.
- Ensure risk assessment & safe-system -of-work is available.
- Report any deviation or non-conformity associated with the field modification.
- Ensure all necessary parts, tools & documents are available prior to starting the field modification.
Performance measurements:
- Respect of timeframe for modification implementation.
- Customer acceptance and quality level of implemented modification.
- Compliance with EHS rules and work-related processes.
- Achievement of contractual availability (milestone) targets.
- Completeness and Quality of FM implementation data recorded in data base.
- Availability of configuration update data.
- Audit results (internal and external).

Pay rate: $38/hr
Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
- Certified Technician or Undergraduate in technical area (mechanical or electrical/electronic)
- HS Diploma required.
- Minimum IT knowledge
- Minimum 5 years' experience
- Technical troubleshooting/investigation/testing experience (mechanical and electrical / electronic)
- Field Experience
- EHS knowledge and exposure
- Product knowledge
- Self-government
- Railway Industry
- EHS training
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
- Railway Safety/Product liability
- Engineering knowledge
- Customer contact
- Technical troubleshooting/investigation experience (mechanical or electrical / electronic)
- Team management (if applicable)
