This is an exciting opportunity within the Manhattan People Team to lead global mobility strategy and operations in a growing high-tech, project-oriented organization. The Senior Manager, Global Mobility will lead the strategy in alignment with the organization's business objective, while ensuring full compliance with all movement. This role is based in our Atlanta, GA global headquarters office.

At Manhattan, the Global Mobility function oversees and administers long and short-term international assignments, international relocations, and immigration, as well as project-based travel and temporary work assignments. This position is responsible for ensuring a high level of service with a key focus on employee experience. Additionally, this person is responsible for program compliance, vendor partner management and ensuring the program meets the needs of our regional and global stakeholders. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record of leading employee mobility and global immigration and have experience/ knowledge in the areas of tax and immigration related regulation/practices.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive global mobility strategy in alignment with the organization's business objectives
  • Lead day-to-day delivery of Global Mobility services including but not limited to international assignments (short-term and long-term), one-way transfers and cross-country commuting arrangements and global business travelers.
  • Create and maintain global mobility policies and procedures that comply with relevant laws, regulations, and best practices
  • Continuously evaluate and adapt the mobility strategy to meet the changing needs of the business
  • Collaborate with business and HR leaders to define strategy that enables effective and efficient mobility programs.
  • Educate stakeholders on mobility program and market best practices
  • Develop strong partnerships and synergies across various functions including Finance, Legal, Compensation, Benefits, Talent Acquisition, Global People leaders, and Payroll
  • Put customer experience in forefront and deploy a Global Mobility service delivery model that provides a best-in-class employee experience
  • Oversee and manage relationships with external vendors, such as relocation service providers, immigration consultants, and tax advisors
  • Ensure regulatory compliance as our team members move across various countries
  • Consult on relevant global mobility trends, and practices;
  • Conduct regional business reviews regarding regional activity
  • Develop cost tracking measures to improve visibility into Global Mobility program costs

Requirements

  • Experience working for a global organization, preferable in the technology industry
  • 8+ years of experience in Global Mobility with bachelor's in a related discipline
  • Passion and interest in providing high quality advisory support in a corporate global mobility function
  • Advance knowledge of international employment laws, immigration, and tax regulations
  • Advance knowledge of US nonimmigrant visas (H-1B and L-1 visas), permanent residency processes, as well as tax equalization methodology, and shadow payroll for tax administration
  • Ability to translate the technical nature of mobility work (immigration, international taxation) to ensure clear stakeholder understanding
  • Experience managing a high volume, global caseload
  • Ability to build relationship across the organization and ability to provide exceptional levels of customer service.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Strong vendor management skills
  • Ability to work at both strategic and operational levels.
  • GMS Certification desired, but not required
  • Commitment to working 60+% in the office, 40% remote.
