On the job training - no manufacturing experience is required

JOB MISSION

Plans, directs and coordinates cutting material functions: factory allocations, receiving, and shipping of material product to ensure good quality, timely, and effective internal customer service while maintaining a safe working environment.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Maintains a day to day inventory, which also includes performing inventory counts weekly and physical inventory every six months while maintaining a goal from 95 to 100% accuracy.
  • Ensures timely delivery of material to cutters and works with them on any quality issues.
  • Sets up synthetic and leather material.
  • Works closely with other material coordinator(s) on all issues and opportunities.
  • Maintains open communication with various support groups to prevent and/or resolve any quality issues and material shortages.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma and 5 plus years of experience in manufacturing process or a related area required. Prefer an Associate degree (Computer Science or Business) and 3-5 years of experience in the field.
  • Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the manufacturing process.
  • Strong demonstrated computer literacy in Microsoft Office (WORD and EXCEL) and e-mail required.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing.
