Job Description
The Programs Manager works directly with the Executive Director in the planning, promotion, implementation, and evaluation of FOG (Florida Organic Growers) programs. The Programs Manager is responsible for knowing the details of all of FOG’s projects and programs, ensuring that all grant requirements and deadlines are met, overseeing budgets, managing project coordinators, marketing and communications specialist, and other staff. Works with staff and Executive Director to initiate and set goals for programs based on the organization's strategic objectives and monitors program operations for quality, efficiency effectiveness, and plans programs from start to finish, including identifying processes, deadlines, milestones, reporting, and overseeing budgets. Ensures the FOG brand, programs, resources, and messaging are properly shared and accessible to those we serve. Oversees the continuous development and execution of sponsorships and fundraising initiatives. Supports the organization’s mission in promoting organic, regenerative, and sustainable agriculture and the company’s services and programs. 
  
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 
 Supervision, Orientation, Evaluation: • Direct, supervise and mentor all direct reports and team members. • Ensure direct reports receive orientation and appropriate training in accordance with organization standards and any necessary required credentials are current. 
• Identify any needs for additional training. • Accomplish human resource objectives by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; planning and reviewing compensation actions; enforcing policies and procedures. • Approve and process time sheets as and leave requests as needed. 
• Evaluate productivity and efficiency of the team and program and ensure evaluations are conducted according to FOG policy. Program Planning: 
• Work with other Education & Outreach staff to identify, develop, write, submit, and obtain grants. • Prepare and manage role-relevant budget(s) as assigned by the Executive Director and Board of Directors. 
• Look for innovative ways to deliver value to the organization. 
• Solicit and manage interns and volunteers as needed. 
• Identify and address problems and risks. 
• Responsible for preparing and submitting all required documentation and reports of applicable FOG projects.  
• Create and present FOG programming updates to the board of directors. 
• Engage constituents in communications, negotiations, and problem-solving activities 
• Align or realign deliverables according to program outcomes 
• Develop funding goals and strategies for the organization that effectively reach donors, program participants, and community stakeholders; ensure strategies align with and compliment the organization’s creative communications strategy as developed by the Education & Outreach staff. 
• Develop partnerships with outside organizations and non-competing, mission-aligned organizations; maximize partnership potential for communications, collaborations, etc. 
• In collaboration with Executive Director and other Education & Outreach staff, develop and execute strategies that foster community support for the organization's missions and programs 

 Communications: 
• Present to community groups and develop media connections and assist the Executive Director in this capacity.  
• In collaboration with other Education & Outreach staff, help develop copy for brochures, invitations, posters, ads, newsletters, websites, etc., in support of Education & Outreach initiatives and strategies while ensuring consistent presentation and strengthening of brand through design, copy, organizational- and campaign-related collateral. 
• Serve as spokesperson on behalf of the organization at events and in the media. 
• Offer insights to Education & Outreach staff regarding relevant target audience(s) to increase effectiveness of promotional planning and execution to ensure connectivity between the audience and organization. 
• Support in tracking, measurement, and reporting results of campaigns and promotions; support forecasting and assessment of ROI. 
• Develop and maintain archive of past promotion and program results to guide future decisions and forecasting. 

 Fundraising 
• Identify sponsorship and development opportunities available through FOG workshops and events and support achievement of audience awareness objectives. 
• Build short- and long-term strategies to achieve development and funding goals set in collaboration with the Executive Director; track progress and accomplishment of strategic goals. 
• Support data-driven decision making, including assisting with accurate forecasting of funding growth and expenses for development and programming initiatives. 
• In collaboration with Executive Director, FOG’s Board of Directors, and other Education & Outreach staff, identify, solicit, and cultivate individual donors and businesses / corporations to secure monetary and in-kind sponsorships and donations. Identify and ensure the fulfillment of all sponsorship benefits. 
• Participate in development of best practices, policies, and strategies related to 
fundraising activities.

QUALITIFICATIONS:  
Bachelor’s degree in organizational management or equivalent work experience. Experience working in sustainable agriculture and/or food systems sector preferred. Minimum 2 years managerial experience required. Candidate must have experience implementing and monitoring the success of new programs and organizing program activities while overseeing project and programs coordinators in their work. Must have 2 year's experience managing or coordinating 
grant-supported programs.

WORKING CONDITIONS:   
Environment: Remote. 
 Physical Activity and Ability:   
• Work requires sedentary physical activity performing non-strenuous daily activities of an 
administrative nature.   
• Must have the ability to sit for extended periods of time and talk and hear/ listen 
throughout the work period.   
• Must have manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items and work with fingers. 
• Must be able to walk, stand, and reach with hands and arms to perform work. 
• Must be able to see at close distance with clear vision at 20 inches or less. And the ability 
to distinguish colors on a computer screen (review color labels, charts, graphs, etc.). 
  
Remote Staff: 
• Must provide high quality sustainable internet connection while at work
