We are currently seeking a Service Sales Representative for our Hopelawn, NJ location.
The Service Sales Representative is responsible for business development of our preventive maintenance service contract product. The Service Sales Rep will sell to new and existing clients and schedule sales appointments via self-generated leads. The Service Sales Rep will work in a business-to-business setting in which they will cover an assigned territory and build a portfolio of accounts via prospecting and referrals. Given the nature of our services, one-call closes are a rarity. Typically, our sales process involves establishing and nurturing client relationships throughout a sales cycle that could extend up to 18 months, necessitating several sales calls along the way. The Service Sales Representative will report to the Operating Unit President. Job Functions
Prospect via cold calls, emails, door-to-door calls, networking and referrals
Follow up on direct mail campaigns
Set sales appointments with key decision makers at prospective client companies
Establish rapport and develop long-term business relationships with clients over the course of an extended sales cycle
Partner with clients to establish their needs
Present clients with the most appropriate solutions
Assemble proposals and reports for clients
Submit all contacts and documentation in a timely manner
Maintain all sales activity in the Tecta CRM program
Follow up with clients on a periodic basis to ensure that their expectations are being met and to get referrals
Work with Service Manager to understand where/how to generate additional leads and referrals
Coordinate with service manager to develop sales strategies and, when necessary, to close deals
Manage the service projects won through your efforts.
Perform other related tasks as may be assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience (Essential)
Demonstrated success in sales and a strong record of achievement and results.
Ability to apply negotiation skills to a variety of sales situations.
3 years sales experience in roofing, construction or a related field preferred (Not required)
Ability to manage/qualify leads and close business through direct contact or over the phone.
Excellent track record in developing relationships with a high degree of integrity and trust.
Solid verbal, written, interpersonal and listening skills.
Ability to travel locally out of the office 80% of the time.
