SUMMARY:

The Clinical Pharmacy Manager, in conjunction with The Executive Director, has responsibility for the advancement of patient centered clinical pharmacy services at Grady Health System. The position requires the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, pharmacists and allied health professionals from all clinical disciplines regarding activities related to the improvement of medication use, implementation of evidence based practices, and ultimately improvement in patient outcomes. Provides leadership for and evaluates the performance of clinical pharmacists/clinical specialists and provides ongoing coaching and mentorship. Oversees and participates in educational activities of the department and in the development of pharmacy residents and students. Collaborates with direct reports, pharmacy leadership, and organizational leadership to meet patient, departmental, and organizational medication-related needs.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Doctor of Pharmacy from an accredited school of pharmacy. Completion of a Pharmacy Practice (PGY-1)
  • Five or more years of clinical practice experience in health system pharmacy (ambulatory and/or acute care) including three or more years in a supervisor/manager role

  • Demonstrated success in developing and advancing clinical pharmacy practice including project management, performance improvement and planning

  • Strong leadership ability with superior communication (both verbal and written) and presentation skills utilizing various types of media

  • Licensed as a registered pharmacist in Georgia (or eligible within 120 days)

  • BPS Certification in primary area of practice
