Job Purpose

The Senior Software Engineer (UI) is responsible for the design and development of new UI functionality and maintenance across multiple Java and .NET Web applications.

The Senior Software Engineer (UI) is responsible for the design of efficient, scalable, and secure modules of the application's web tier. This employee will need to effectively collaborate with a cross-functional team of Engineers, QA, Product Managers, and stakeholders to facilitate the design and development process. The employee will need maintain a consistent UI/UX across multiple applications. This employee will need to work in a fast-paced environment, enjoy working with others, and operate under minimal direction at times.

Responsibilities

• Agile developer, focusing on sustainable development by exercising good estimation, automated testing, and continuous deployment.
• Collaborate directly with a cross-functional team of Developers, QA, Product Managers, and other stakeholders to facilitate the design and development process.
• Prepare detailed design documentation, follow best coding practices, and perform code reviews.
• Assist Operations / Support team in resolving Production Issues.
• Maintain a consistent UI/UX across multiple applications.

Knowledge and Experience

• B.S. or higher degree in Computer Science or related degree.
• 5+ years of UI software development experience using JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, Angular, React, Node.js, JSP/ASP, REST, Git, IDE (IntelliJ, Eclipse, Visual Studio Code, etc.).
• Experience with CI/CD, design reviews, code reviews, unit testing, integration/system testing, and agile development practices.
• Experience in designing production systems deployed to the Cloud (Azure, AWS, etc.) a plus.
• Good communication skills, able to communicate effectively with developers, project managers, QA, and the leadership team.

Schedule

This role offers work from home flexibility of up to 2 days per week.
