Overview

Job Purpose

This role is responsible for reviewing, drafting, negotiating, and advising all internal groups on procurement contracts, including SaaS and licensing agreements, nondisclosure agreements, master services agreements, facilities agreements, professional services agreements, consulting agreements, staffing agreements and various other agreements to support the business.

Responsibilities

  • Draft and negotiate a wide variety of agreements, including nondisclosure agreements, master services agreements, facilities agreements, professional services agreements, consulting agreements, software license agreements, implementation and support agreements, termination letters, staffing agreements and other commercial agreements.
  • Build positive relationships globally across the company with ICE personnel, and work to understand their requirements, plans and business strategies and leverage knowledge in leading contract negotiations with external vendors to generate savings and mitigate risks.
  • Ensure compliance on information security, anti-corruption, data protection and data privacy matters, including GDPR and CCPA.
  • Ensure compliance with all corporate policies and procedures relating to the contracting of goods and services.
  • Effectively manage existing contracts and contract renewal processes, including managing the renewal of license and support agreements.
  • Ensure all contract paperwork is generated and issued in an efficient manner to ensure continuation of coverage and mitigate risk for the company.
  • Maintain contract files and records to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Develop and manage vendor relationships compatible with organizational mission and goals.
  • Perform industry research and utilize industry knowledge to develop successful negotiation strategies and structure for business relationships.

Knowledge and Experience

  • Juris Doctor Degree Required.
  • 3-4 years of commercial contract negotiation experience and/or procurement experience.
  • Experience in negotiation of IT, facilities, software licensing and support agreements, market data, marketing and consultant services agreements with major vendors is a plus.
  • Knowledge and working experience with Service Now and Conga is a plus.
  • Must be a self-starter, team-oriented leader, with a proven track record of implementing and delivering cost saving initiatives and successful contract negotiations.
  • Must be customer focused and have strong leadership, technical and communication skills.
  • Able to work collaboratively and productively with other departments to a successful result.
  • Well organized, detail oriented with strong problem solving, conflict resolution and analytic skills.
  • Able to manage multiple projects and thrive in an on-demand environment
  • Strong communication skills.
