We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Futures data QA Test Analyst with expertise in energy, grain, and metal markets to join our Content QA team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of commodities (e-mini, gold, crude oil, corn, soy, and related instruments) traded in Chicago Mercantile Exchange, New York Mercantile Exchange, and Chicago Board of Trade, etc. You will collaborate closely with client support, development, product, and business stakeholders to validate and verify the quality of market data, perform data analysis, and contribute to the overall success of our organization.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive quality assurance testing of data for futures markets.
  • Develop and maintain test strategies and test cases while performing all testing activities including functional, integration and regression testing.
  • Participate in the testing and deployment of content and processes. This includes new exchanges, new security types, exchange mandated changes, and fundamental content.
  • Review product requirements and tech stories to develop and execute test plans.
  • Identify, isolate, document and communicate bugs effectively.
  • Provide support in the form of troubleshooting and testing assistance to Operations and Development as well as Server and Network engineering groups.
  • Research, document and escalate issues from internal teams. This includes client-initiated issues from our Customer Support Group, Sales, Product Management, and others.
  • Work with our offshore automation teams to facilitate complete testing coverage.
  • Complete content testing using waterfall and Agile software development methodologies.

Knowledge and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in computer science, information technology, business, finance, mathematics, statistics or equivalent.
  • 4 to 6 years of experience in a quality assurance environment.
  • Experience in enterprise application testing and or scripting.
  • Strong knowledge of market data including futures, futures options, forwards, spreads, mutual funds, and ETFs.
  • Good understanding of charts, data tables, time & sales, and market depth.
  • Experience with testing tools such as Jira, TestTrackPro or similar.
  • Proficiency in productivity tools such as MS-Word, Excel, and Project.
  • Track record of completing assignments on time with a high degree of quality.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Programming skills in Python, SQL or other scripting languages is a plus.
  • Experience working in UNIX/Linux, SQL and Java environments is a plus.

Schedule

This role offers work from home flexibility of 1 day per week.
